South County Barbeque is a Rhode Island based, mobile food service and catering company that features traditional wood fired meats, savory sides, and unique smoked creations.

South County Barbeque, “SCQ” is proudly veteran and blue collar owned and operated by Arthur Evans and Shane Rooney. The childhood friends rekindled their friendship during the pandemic of 2020 by sharing barbecue tips, recipes, and an aligned vision of bringing superior barbecue fare to the New England community.

By the Summer of 2022, the dynamic partnership established South County Barbeque and the hit the ground running, serving the local community competition-style barbecue at farmers markets, craft breweries, and catered private events.

South County Barbeque utilizes local hardwoods provided by Total Lawn Care. Each cord of wood delivered, presents a truly unique flavor profile of oak, maple, cherry, and hickory smoke creating a signature blend of flavor in every cook.

SCQ’s menu mainstays include pork shoulder, beef brisket, st louis ribs, and chicken wings paired with classic sides of macaroni & cheese, cole slaw, baked beans, and honey cornbread.
